Today i had a couple of newly acquired friends where i had the chance to share shrimp keeping information first hand to them. Till today, i still believe in this. Information should be shared openly and as accurately as possible regardless if you are a hobbyist or breeder. First is to learn, unlearn and than relearn so to have all the information to be put into practice.

I always like putting myself in the person shoes and without holistic information, it is going to be difficult to setup a tank and breed shrimps. It takes a lot to grasp all the concept of shrimp breeding in one sitting. Hence, i always believe in a 1:1 sharing or learning session and i invite you if you are keen to learn on shrimp breeding!

For our Overseas friends, you are invited as well and keep those email coming.

I absolutely agree with you. Fortunately, we have been able to have many interesting conversations over the past period about what I think is at the heart of the hobby; the long-term preservation of shrimp and how you can give shape to this as an individual.

In the beginning I noticed that there are a lot of uncertainties and disagreements with regard to keeping Caridina shrimp. But after talking and researching I’m convinced that if, as you mentioned in an earlier blog, you set achievable long and short term goals, remain consistent, let nature be nature and continue to have fun, your chance of success is greatly increased.

I have also noticed that people like you who have a passion for the hobby and have found depth through trial and error are more than happy to share and talk about it. The hobbyists who keep claiming that it is terribly difficult but never want to explain the details, seem to change opinions every other week or point towards a certain ingredient, I have come to wonder about that. The less experienced should feel comfortable asking qeustions and I think that is only achieved by the way you and others are openly sharing information.

Hope we can have many more pleasant conversations in the future and I am happy to see new posts! Looking forward to your vlog of the unboxing 😉

Very busy times after the vacation but I will soon send some pictures of the progress. Some interesting stuff has been going on and plenty of new and bigger shrimplets!

    We keep in touch 🙂

    Bye, Sebastiaan
